WE DEYA is a multi-arts, interactive experience combining film, sound, poetry & storytelling. It weaves interview with live performance, creating moments for the audience to reflect & respond to the stories of the Windrush generation and their descendants.

This piece has been developed by second generation Caribbean artists who have collected stories from local elders through one to one interviews and group workshops, focusing on how and where joy was found during a hostile environment. It explores the themes of arrival, prolonged stay,  and how communities are built, sustained & celebrated.
