COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS

Our mission is to bring the arts to the people, to the spaces they already occupy and inhabit. This takes a variety of forms and allows us to partner with organisations to reach people where they are. Over the last few years we have developed strong relationships with homeless charities, women’s refuges, youth offending teams, elders groups, schools and other charitable organisations.

Many of our beneficiaries are impacted by poor mental health, loneliness, social isolation, unemployment and lack of opportunity. We deliver projects and activities that create safe spaces for people to reconnect, to build community in an organic way that strengthens connections and improves wellbeing.

After the murder of George Floyd we ran a series of workshops for Black young people to connect with each other and express themselves creatively; here is their group spoken word piece.

As part of Wandsworth Art Fringe we ran the SWITCH project, placing artists in residences at barbershops. Here are some highlights from the final showcase event.
